Linda Louise Saulsbury
April 13, 1953 - June 21, 2026
Linda Louise Saulsbury, 73, of Redding, California, passed away on June 21, 2026. Born on April 13, 1953, in Pontiac, Illinois, Linda lived with strength, compassion, and a fierce devotion to the people she loved. She was honest to her core, quick to speak her mind, and someone her family always knew they could count on.
Linda had what her family lovingly described as an Irish temperament. She was fiercely protective of the people she loved, hardworking, caring, and never afraid to tell you exactly how she felt. Beneath that strength was a generous heart that showed itself in countless quiet ways throughout her life.
She loved riding her Harley motorcycle and exploring beautiful places with a camera in hand. Photography became one of her favorite ways to preserve the memories she made along the way. At home, she enjoyed listening to Stevie Nicks and always had room in her heart for dogs and cats.
Caring for others was more than a career. It was part of who Linda was. After earning her nursing degree from Ohlone College, she served as a registered nurse, supervisor, leader of a hospital pain management program, and later as a hospice nurse, bringing comfort and compassion to people during life's most difficult moments.
Linda and Donald's story began the night they met, when Linda dropped her Harley motorcycle, hoping he would stop and help her pick it up. That moment became the beginning of their life together.
Linda is survived by her husband, Donald; her daughter, Kelley; her sister, Elisabeth; her brother, Jim; her niece, Heather; her nephew, Reece; her cousins, Vickie, Charlotte, Keith, Kirk, Monica, Mary Jean, and David; and the Doughan clan, including Mike, Phil, Tom, and Gina, who held a special place in her life.
Linda will be remembered for her unwavering loyalty, her honest heart, and the way she loved without hesitation. Reflecting on their life together, Donald shared, "Linda made me a better man and husband, and I will always be in debt to her."
