Wayne Heath Bova
Wayne Heath Bova, beloved husband, son, father, and mentor - passed away on July 27, 2025, in Redding, California, at the age of 57.
Born on December 26, 1967, in Santa Monica, California, Wayne was known for his kindness, his exceptional ability to fix almost anything, and his unwavering desire to help others. For over 30 years, he flourished in the cement manufacturing industry. At work, he embraced every opportunity to guide younger team members - showing them how to operate machinery, tackle repairs, and understand how things work - always with patience and grace.
Outside the plant, Wayne found joy in the simple pleasures of life - fishing, camping, building, and repairing. Whether he was tinkering at home or teaching someone how to fix something, he approached every moment with dedication and care.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca Bova; children Brannin, Chandler, and Jenavie Bova; granddaughter Delilah Bova; parents Donald and Linda Bova; and siblings Donald Bova II, Diana Bova-Cramer, and Michael Bova.
A Celebration of Life was held on August 16, 2025 at Huff’s Bridge Bay Resort, where those who loved Wayne came together to honor his memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes stories and memories that reflect Wayne’s kindness, resilience, and hands-on spirit - tributes that honor the legacy he built with both his hands and his heart.
